Sometimes you’re the Hammer, sometimes you’re the Nail

Representing the Nail was the case in this video. What started off as an optimistic and fun bicycle ride through the North Florida Countryside, turned into an episode of dodgy G.I. issues… and a resulting trip into the woods.

  1. Thank you for another fine video, GC! Just a couple thoughts… Have you ever considered pitching the cycling cap and replacing it with a visored helmet? I recently switched to one for gravel riding and have never looked back. Secondly, have you ever considered wearing cycling gloves? They will keep the sun off your very exposed hands down there in the Sunshine State and prevent melanoma. To my lil’ brain, helmet, sunglasses and gloves are mandatory for cycling. Thanks for listening and I’ll see YOU in the next video.😉

      Hi Dave,

I prefer the cycling cap as it helps with sweat mitigation. Regarding gloves, the damage to my hands has probably been done (aged badly) due to sun exposure over 30 plus years. However, I’m doing my best to apply sunscreen to the back of my hands for the reasons you highlight. I do wear sun sleeves from time to time, but they get unbearably hot at times. Thanks for your words, I really appreciate the genuine concern!
