Drop Bar & Flat Bar Salsa Confluence

Coming later in 2023, Salsa Cycles will launch their own range of e-Gravel Bikes. What’s shown in this video are two prototypes, drop bar and flat bar, but are close to production specification.

Both variants will feature with a hub-drive MAHLE SmartBike X35 system, Class 1 with 20mph top assisted speed. 40 Nm of torque and a 250 Wh battery in the downtube. This drive system is available with a 208 Wh range extender, to increase total battery to 458 Wh.

The frames are of 6061 aluminium construction, full-carbon fork, and 50mm of tyre clearance front and rear. Bottom bracket is English thread 68mm, with fender and rack mounts, and support for an internal dropper seatpost. Bikes should start at around $US 2,499.
