Alabama Hills, California
“The Alabama Hills are a dramatic range of rounded, golden-brown rock formations and eroded hills located in Inyo County, California, just west of Lone Pine. Situated at the base of the towering Sierra Nevada—with Mount Whitney visible in the background—the area is famous for its unique geology, stunning sunrise/sunset photo views, and history as a prime filming location for Hollywood Westerns.” – Wikipedia

Top Attractions:
- Mobius Arch: A famous natural rock arch that perfectly frames Mount Whitney and the surrounding peaks
- Movie Road: A scenic unpaved route winding through the hills where hundreds of classic movies, TV shows, and commercials were shot (including Gladiator, Iron Man, and numerous Westerns).
- Hiking & Exploring: Short, accessible walking paths and boulder-scrambling routes fan out across the landscape.
- Whiskey Tango Fondo, hosted by Phil Gaimon, and the reason why JOM was visiting town.
