“The town is now primarily a service centre for the surrounding grape and wine industry and a dormitory town with a significant number of local residents commuting to the city of Adelaide each day for employment.”

In this video, JOM of the Gravel Cyclist crew rides a route starting and ending in Lyndoch, South Australia. South Australia is the home state of JOM, namely a suburb within the city of Adelaide. During this gravel cycling adventure, the route had grandioso plans.

This ride happened on November 19, 2025 and the course is approximately 90 kilometres in length with about 1,020 metres, or about 3,300 feet of elevation. Sadly, road works prevented JOM from riding the course in its entirety, a little disappointing. Thus Plan B happened. This course will be ridden sometime during 2026 when JOM returns to Australia for his next visit.
JOM’s bike in this video is the Ari Shafer 3.0, review is linked here.
