This isn’t a gravel road ride video. But then again, this isn’t your normal road training ride.
Today, I had the pleasure (and suffering) of riding with the Lotto Soudal team in Adelaide, South Australia, as they ramp up for the 2015 Santos Tour Down Under. In fact, the coming week I will barely be riding gravel roads at all. With the Tour Down Under beginning on January 17, I’ll be heading out with various UCI World Tour teams next week, before the race starts.

On today’s ride were Thomas De Gendt (3rd in the 2012 Giro d’Italia), Lars Bak, Gert Dockx, Kenny Dehaes, and Borris Vallee. Adam Hansen and Greg Henderson are both racing their respective Nationals titles races.
The video is an almost four minute excerpt, please enjoy in High Definition, courtesy of YouTube.

You kept up pretty well! Impressive!
Wheel sucked the entire way! Mind you, there isn’t much of a draft when climbing… ouch.
I remember those hills……and dropping you badly.
Where was Gumby?
By 10 metres on Willunga Hill, after you sat my wheel most of way up it. Slacker. Gumby is so 2013.
