A Show Born from the Region

The inception of CRAFTED was born from a region with a robust outdoor and cycling industry. “We are situated in the Southeast with an often forgotten but lively cycling industry. We have so many partners that fall into that handmade and small frame builder’s category down here, and they deserve to be celebrated and highlighted.” Said Cane Creek’s OEM Sales Manager, Bryan Flack.  “The cyclists that ride here in the Southeast are also eager to meet like-minded frame builders and see the incredible bicycles they make. There are other handmade bike shows out West or in Europe which are great, but we wanted to celebrate and highlight those frame builders in our backyard, on the East Coast, and the Southeast.”

This event provides a great opportunity to celebrate bikes, community and the awesome local riding Western North Carolina has to offer. This show reflects the spirit of the region and hopes to provide frame and component builders the opportunity to showcase their craftsmanship.

The Venue: Cane Creek Cycling Components

A venue rich with cycling legacy, Cane Creek Cycling Components has a history that dates back to over 50 years ago when Dia-Compe broke ground at the site in 1974. Under the name of Cane Creek Cycling Components, the company has been producing premium and innovative bike parts for the last 30 years. Cane Creek, a global respected brand and maker of headsets, bottom brackets, Titanium Cranksets, mountain bike and gravel suspension, and Seatpost, is proud to host the inaugural Crafted bike show.

“This is year one – and the beginning of something bigger,” Said Dorene O’Malley CRAFTED Director. “Our hope is to build an annual event in the Southeast to celebrate small frame builders, gear and component manufacturers. Join us in building a community.”

The Cane Creek facility is located five minutes from the Asheville Regional Airport and adjacent to Pisgah National Forest, giving out-of-town visitors easy access to world-class mountain biking and gravel riding before, during and after the show.
