Aerodynamics stems from the System
The project inherits the aerodynamic design of the Filante SLR ID2 and all the development work that made it possible. A process carried out together with the technical staff of Groupama-FDJ United, through advanced CFD simulations and validated in the Silverstone wind tunnel.
Wilier’s approach to aerodynamics goes beyond the bicycle. What matters is the complete system made up of bicycle, rider and components. Optimised profiles, seamless integration between frame and cockpit, and design focused on real-world speed allow the Filante SL ID2 to transfer all the technical heritage of the platform onto the road.
The same Filante Riding Experience
The racing geometries shared with the Filante SLR ID2 deliver precise handling, stability at high speeds and a natural response to changes in pace. Every design choice is made to strike the best balance between efficiency, control and comfort, delivering that sense of immediacy that identifies a Filante from the very first kilometres.

Designed for Today’s Cycling
The Filante SL ID2 integrates all the solutions required by modern cycling. The tyre clearance of up to 34 mm broadens the versatility of the bicycle, whilst compatibility with single-chainring drivetrains and the UDH standard allow for increasingly optimised and versatile configurations.
The platform also introduces the new R-Bar cockpit, designed to improve ergonomics, control and aerodynamics thanks to the fully integrated cable routing and drops with a total flare of 3 cm.
The project is completed by the new Aerokit SL, a perfectly integrated hydration system that maintains aesthetic cleanliness and functionality, with the option of also fitting the Aerokit SLR for those who desire maximum aerodynamic efficiency.
