Modernizing the Mosaic Lineup and Expanding Access to Handmade Performance

For more than a decade, Mosaic Cycles has earned a reputation as one of the leading names in American handmade bicycles. From the beginning, the company has built its identity around precision craftsmanship, rider-first design, and a belief that performance and personalization should never be mutually exclusive.

Whether it’s the unmistakable quality of a Mosaic weld, industry-leading turnaround times, or bikes that regularly find their way to the front of gravel races and mountain climbs, Mosaic has always balanced traditional frame-building craftsmanship with a relentless drive to improve.

That commitment to continuous evolution has shaped every chapter of the company’s history. And in 2026, it is driving a series of the most significant updates Mosaic has ever undertaken.

Evolution in Action

The bike industry has changed dramatically over the last several years. Riders expect faster access to products, cleaner integration, improved compatibility, and more streamlined purchasing experiences. At the same time, the demand for custom bicycles and personalized experiences remains stronger than ever.

For Mosaic, the challenge was not choosing between tradition and innovation. It was finding ways to integrate them. The result is a comprehensive update to the Mosaic lineup and business model, that makes Mosaic bicycles more accessible while continuing to deliver the craftsmanship, performance, and personalization the brand is known for.

Expanding the Batch Built Program with Level 1 Bikes

One of the biggest changes for 2026 is the expansion of Mosaic’s Batch Built program. For the first time, Mosaic’s Level 1 models will be available through the program, giving riders access to some of the company’s most popular platforms in standard sizes and finishes with significantly reduced lead times.

The Batch Built program now includes:

  • RT-1 iTR and RT-2 iTR road bikes (35mm clearance)
  • AR-1 and AR-2 all-road bikes (40mm clearance)
  • GT-1 i45 and GT-2 i45 gravel bikes (45mm clearance)
  • “The goal isn’t to become bigger,” Aaron Barcheck, founder of Mosaic, notes. “The goal is to remove friction so more riders can experience what makes a Mosaic special.”

The Batch Build program launched in 2023, offering Mosaic Level 2 bikes in stock geometry to make it easier for more riders to experience a Mosaic. The program cut lead times dramatically while maintaining Mosaic’s hallmark build quality and performance.

Now, by bringing Level 1 models into Batch Built production, Mosaic can offer the same quick delivery and easy purchasing options to its most popular bike designs. Where Level 2 bikes utilize straight gauge titanium tubes for increased affordability, Level 1 frames utilize an oversized double-butted titanium tubeset for a lighter, more lively ride quality.

Additionally, the updated Batch Built program delivers more competitive pricing for both Level 1 frameset modules ($7,500) and Level 2 framesets ($4,250).

New E-Commerce Store

Mosaic is also introducing a new e-commerce platform for its Batch Built program that simplifies how riders discover, configure, and purchase framesets. Both Level 1 and Level 2 models will be available in Mosaic’s standard geometry options, which include eight sizes along with two finish options per model.

“We’ve spent years proving we can build custom bikes quickly,” says Barcheck. “The next challenge was making them easier to buy.”

The new platform aims to create a faster and clearer pathway to purchasing a Mosaic frameset while continuing to support Mosaic’s dealer network and personalized customer experience. With stock finishes added to the Batch Built program, ship times are now an industry-leading 3-5 days.

Modernizing the Entire Lineup

Alongside changes to the purchasing experience, every Mosaic platform has been updated to better meet today’s rider needs.

Across road, all-road, and gravel categories, riders will see improvements in frame integration, cable routing, compatibility, and overall refinement. These updates are not about following trends. They are the result of years of rider feedback, dealer conversations, and product development aimed at improving the ownership experience while preserving the ride quality and craftsmanship that define a Mosaic.

For additional details, see the Mosaic 2026 Line Update Fact Sheet.

“The technology changes,” says Barcheck. “Our craftsmanship and quality don’t.” The result is a lineup that feels more modern, more capable, and better prepared for the next generation of components and riding styles.

Handmade Still Means Personal

While Mosaic is expanding access with additional Batch Built models and an ecommerce site, the company’s commitment to custom bicycles remains unchanged. The Made to Order program continues to serve riders seeking the ultimate level of personalization, including rider-specific geometry, custom tubing selections, unique finishes, and fully customized complete bicycles.

For many riders, a Batch Built model may be the ideal introduction to Mosaic. For others, the Made to Order program remains the opportunity to create something entirely their own. Both paths are equally important to the brand’s future.

Looking Ahead

These updates represent more than a collection of new features or business initiatives. They reflect Mosaic’s ongoing commitment to building the best bicycles possible while finding new ways to serve the riders who trust them. As significant as these changes are, they also mark the beginning of a broader evolution within Mosaic.

In the months ahead, riders will see the next generation of ideas emerging from the company’s workshop with new platforms, new technologies, and new ways of thinking about what a handmade bike can be.
