The ShockStops’s unique design, born from experience engineering suspension systems for heavy-duty off-road equipment, will dramatically improve your riding experience. In 2015, Redshift launched the ShockStop Suspension Stem, providing suspension to the front end of the bike. ShockStop changed the way people thought about suspension stems. And it helped start the movement to add comfort and compliance back into road, gravel and CX bikes. Before the first stem was even available, customers were asking when Redshift would develop a companion seatpost.
The ShockStop Seatpost suspends the rider’s body, isolating them from the imperfections of the road and trail. Travel and suspension kinematics were optimized to provide a plush, bottomless feel. Riders can adjust the spring rate and preload to suit their specific riding style and terrain. By integrating elements of the suspension into the post itself, the ShockStop achieves a compact and lightweight design that mates well with all styles of bicycle.
