Philadelphia-based Redshift Sports, a cycling brand known for the design and executions of cutting-edge cycling components, released its latest innovation; the ShockStop Suspension Seatpost.
The ShockStops’s unique design, born from experience engineering suspension systems for heavy-duty off-road equipment, will dramatically improve your riding experience. It is equally suited for an epic gravel adventure or just dealing with potholes on your daily commute. The Seatpost is available for pre-order starting April 10th via Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/redshiftsports/shockstop-seatpost-add-suspension-to-your-bike).
In 2015, Redshift launched the ShockStop Suspension Stem, providing suspension to the front end of the bike. ShockStop changed the way people thought about suspension stems. And it helped start the movement to add comfort and compliance back into road, gravel and CX bikes. Before the first stem was even available, customers were asking when Redshift would develop a companion seatpost.
The ShockStop Seatpost suspends the rider’s body, isolating them from the imperfections of the road and trail. Travel and suspension kinematics were optimized to provide a plush, bottomless feel. Riders can adjust the spring rate and preload to suit their specific riding style and terrain. By integrating elements of the suspension into the post itself, the ShockStop achieves a compact and lightweight design that mates well with all styles of bicycle.
The ShockStop Seatpost lets you ride faster and more efficiently by keeping you stable and allowing the bike to absorb the rough terrain. This means you spend more time putting power to the pedals and less time bracing for impacts. The ShockStop Seatpost is the rare product that increases comfort AND performance.
ShockStop Seatpost is suggested for all types of riding: gravel, CX, E-bike, commuter, road, and mountain.

Zero offset, non-carbon rail compatible head and heavier than Thudbuster ST means no interest from me. Their stem makes sense IMHO, this not so much.
Couldn’t agree more.
They stated (in a FB post) that the new post fits oval carbon rails. So on less issue.
I also like the ability to fine tune the preleoad on the springs, which seems to be lacking on the Thud ST.
I would say more like 10-20mm offset.
They are offering a separate head that works on 7x9mm carbon-railed saddles.
This looks like another great product from the crew at Redshift Sports. I jumped on 2 of these to add to my ShockStop stems (and AeroSwitch road system on the road bike).
