Most bike’s mounts are rated to just 1.5kg each. Add to that low weight limit, the possibility of an impact to the bags on a tree or rock and you have a fair chance of ripping the eyelets out of your fork, especially a carbon fork. Axle Pack v2 is rated to 10kg per pair and because it is axle mounted protects your fork from potential damage.
Axle Pack is a lifesaver on suspension forks when clamping can compress seals. Axle mounting is also ideal on carbon forks that taper and cause clamps to slip. Fork mounted gear helps balance the weight on your bike and keeps your bike’s center of gravity low and stable.
