More than a decade later, gravel has changed again.
Tires are bigger. Courses are rougher. Riders are faster. And the line between gravel road, forest road, and trail is increasingly hard to define.
The new Routt is built for that progression.
Not simply with more tire clearance, but with more range, giving riders the speed they expect from a gravel bike and the capability to keep going when the road gets rough.
The idea behind the Routt hasn’t changed. The places it can take you have.
A Bigger Tire Routt.
The new Routt is our large-format gravel bike, designed around a 50mm tire with clearance for up to 57mm.
It’s made for fast gravel that doesn’t always stay smooth. The larger tire format lets you run lower pressures for more grip and control over broken surfaces, helping the bike carry speed and stay composed when things get rough. At the same time, the Routt keeps the quick, direct feel that has always made it a gravel bike first.
It’s for riders who don’t want their gravel bike defined by one kind of ride. They care about speed and performance, but also want a bike they’ll keep reaching for beyond race day, a bike that can be pushed hard, ridden all day, or taken somewhere new.
From a light race build to a wide-range mullet setup, the Routt can be built toward different ends of gravel without becoming overly specialized.
It’s still a Routt, built for more of what gravel has become.
New Engineering.
3D-Printed Chainstay Yoke
- Creates room for up to a 57mm tire while maintaining clearance for up to a 48T 1x chainring.
Redesigned Moots Carbon Gravel Fork
- A new D-shaped steerer allows fully integrated brake routing through our Moots Ti stem for a clean, integrated front end.

- Designed and machined in Steamboat for current and future drivetrain compatibility.

Two Ways to Build the Routt.
RSL is now offered as a premium frame upgrade rather than a separate Routt model, giving riders one platform with two distinct tubing options.

Lineup Update.
The new Routt replaces the Routt 45, Routt CRD, and Routt RSL in the Moots gravel lineup. Going forward, Routt will be a single platform, with RSL offered as a premium tubing upgrade.
