“There comes a moment when an innovation stops being a milestone and becomes a standard. That moment has arrived – introducing the new Campagnolo Record 13 groupset. With Record 13, the prestigious Italian manufacturer opens a new chapter in its evolution and expands the 13-speed platform to an even broader range of cyclists.”

Made in Europe with Pride

Like every Campagnolo groupset, Record 13 is manufactured in-house in Italy. This is not a statement of principle, but a strategic choice that ensures full control over the entire production process within Campagnolo’s facilities. This optimisation has allowed for competitive price positioning without compromising Campagnolo’s signature commitment to quality.

Campagnolo Product & Marketing Team, commented on the launch: “Record 13 transforms a technical breakthrough into a structured market offering, designed to mark a further shift forward in performance. Record 13 and Super Record 13 share the same platform, the same architecture, the same origin. They are cut from the same stone. Record 13 is a decision, not a compromise, but a deliberate expression of engineering intelligence. Designed for cycling, however you ride.

“It was created to bring this vision to a broader scale, while preserving the core principles that define the platform: shifting speed, braking control, electronic integration, and build quality.”

Same Top-Tier Performance. A Confirmed Benchmark

Record 13 inherits the drivetrain kinematics of Super Record 13: the same optimized chain path across the gear range, and the same shifting speed that already put Super Record 13 ahead of the pack.

The Record 13 derailleur pairs carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide upper and lower bodies with a completely redesigned internal steel cage to deliver exceptional lightness, strength, and reliability. Additionally, its 14-tooth narrow-wide pulleys feature stainless steel bearings to ensure a quiet, precise, and durable drivetrain.

Meanwhile the Record X gravel derailleur features a Nano Clutch and a long cage, enabling compatibility with cassettes up to 48 teeth, along with a 12+16 tooth pulley configuration.

Cassette: More Choice, More Refined Progression

The Record 13 cassette builds on the Super Record structure, confirming the gear progression specifically developed for 13-speed riding: closely spaced ratios that allow riders to consistently find the ideal cadence, with a seamless progression that is felt in every corner, on every straight, and under every effort.

Available configurations include 10-33 and 11-36 for road use (compatible with derailleurs with and without Nano Clutch), and 10-48 for use with the X derailleur in its gravel configuration.

The dedicated 13-speed cassette design features an initial section with a Black Chrome finish, while the final sprocket block is finished in Satin Black-a zinc and silicon-based treatment with a black coating to enhance resistance to wear. A laser-etched texture on the black base gives the cassette a distinctive identity, both technically and aesthetically.

Full compatibility is ensured with all Super Record 13 cassettes, including Ultra versions.

Crankset: The Same Platform, Broader Access

Record 13 chainrings are shared with Super Record 13, offering the same seven combinations for 2x (45/29, 48/32, 50/34, 52/36, 53/39, 54/39, 55/39) and eight aero options for 1x configurations (38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52). Campagnolo Ultra carbon fiber chainrings are compatible across both platforms.

The key difference compared to Super Record lies in the axle, which is made of stainless steel rather than titanium. The higher density of steel has been effectively mitigated through advanced stress analysis across a wide range of riding conditions, allowing for reduced cross-sections and a controlled weight increase.

The only other structural distinction is found in the crank arm. In the Super Record version, the less stressed area is hollowed out within the carbon structure, whereas in the Record version it is replaced with a very low-density technopolymer, maintaining excellent levels of lightness and stiffness.

Crank lengths are available in 165, 170, and 172.5 mm

The crankset is also available with an integrated power meter: the Record PWM is derived from the Super Record HPPM, with simplified electronics while maintaining an accuracy of ±2%.

Ergopower: The same Ergonomic Revolution, Identical Functionality

The design of the Record 13 Ergopower maintains the same functional architecture as Super Record: internal Thumb Shifter, Shift Lever, Mode Button, Smart Button, and status LED. It carries over the same ergonomics redesigned in 2025, allowing full access to all functions from any hand position on the handlebar whether on the tops, in the drops, or in a forward position.

Record 13 Ergopower stands out with new control covers featuring a contrasting matte/gloss finish that enhances aesthetics while ensuring excellent grip. The hydraulic system remains unchanged from Super Record, with optimized routing and the same ease of installation. Ergopower controls from the 13 Platform are also compatible with the previous Super Record 12 WRL system.

Braking: Powerful & Modular as Always

Braking has always been one of Campagnolo’s defining elements. The Record 13 caliper retains the same body as Super Record, delivering the same modulation and braking power that have made it a benchmark in the industry. The only difference lies in the new gloss/matte finish, introducing a refreshed visual identity with the Campagnolo winged logo. Compatible with 140 mm and 160 mm rotors (with the 160 mm adapter included with the front brake or available separately).

Organic pads come as standard; sintered pads are available as an option, offering durability of up to approximately 10,000 km in dry road conditions, and developed for gravel use and wet conditions.

Battery: 750 km. Charge anywhere Without Compromise

The Record 13 battery is identical to that of Super Record: 750 km of range on a full charge, magnetic quick-snap port, and the ability to charge both on and off the bike.

A key innovation that marks a shift in everyday usability: charging is via a standard USB-C cable, allowing it to be powered by a power bank, or any wall adapter with no dedicated chargers required.

In emergency situations, the battery can be charged directly from a smartphone via cable (device compatibility may vary).
