Caminade, a French maker of handcrafted bicycles, has partnered with Campagnolo France to present a unique project: a gravel bike built around 32-inch wheels, pushing the current standards of the discipline.

This one-off model embodies an avant-garde vision of gravel riding, combining innovation, artisanal know-how and cutting-edge technologies. It marks a new step in exploring alternative wheel formats aimed at improving efficiency, comfort and off-road capability across varied terrains.
An Ambitious Project around the 32 Inch Standard
For several years, Caminade has been exploring new wheel formats and their performance benefits. This 32″ project continues that experimental approach, with the goal of offering a platform that is both high-performing and coherent, designed for long distances and demanding terrain.

Technically, the Boost standard appears on Caminade’s gravel bikes to increase lateral wheel stiffness and optimize chainstay length, extended to 438 mm. The Boost standard shifts the chainline by 3.5 mm, which better clears the sensitive area (chainring, 700×50 tire, chainstays). The curved seat tube provides the necessary clearance for 50 mm tires.
The bike is built on a custom geometry that accounts for the rider’s position and integration of 32″ wheels. For this, Caminade relies on 13 years of experience to make this new platform both playful and performant.

To carry out this project, Caminade partnered with leading technical suppliers. Component selection was rigorous, and the wheels were built in collaboration with Neo Wheels. To limit rotating mass and ease acceleration, Neo Wheels mounted 32″ carbon rims on hubs using Berds textile spokes. The wheelset includes a front dynamo hub which, paired with the Llum lamp made by Caminade, provides lighting and can charge an auxiliary device (phone, GPS, external battery).

Caminade aims to offer a 32″ bike accommodating a controlled maximum tire width of 50 mm. Schwalbe joined the project by offering its gravel range in 32″, including the G-One RX fitted to this bike.

The build is completed with a pair of X-One-G pedals with a titanium axle and a larger contact surface better suited to cleated gravel shoe soles for improved power transfer.
Campagnolo at the Heart of Gravel Innovation
A key partner in the project, Campagnolo equips this bike with its latest Record X 13-speed groupset, specifically designed to meet modern gravel demands.
This groupset offers a wide gear range, precise shifting and ergonomics tailored to the harshest conditions. It demonstrates Campagnolo’s commitment to pushing the limits of performance and reliability off the beaten path.

The Record X builds on the success of the Super Record 13, the world’s first 13-speed wireless platform, recognized as a benchmark among the most advanced drivetrains on the market.
As with all Campagnolo groupsets, the Record 13 is fully manufactured in Europe. This is not merely a slogan but a strategic choice that ensures full control over the entire production process within Campagnolo’s factories.
