We’re hosting a Bikepacking Campout at Sea Otter Classic, April 16–19, 2026, with an After Party open to everyone on Friday and Saturday! Whether you’re a seasoned bikepacker or want to learn more about taking on your first trip we want to hang out at Sea Otter.
We have an entire campground set aside at Sea Otter just for this event!
We want to build a bikepacking community at Sea Otter and this camp is going to bring it. The campground is nestled into a grove of trees and will make a great space to bring your touring rig, your ultralight setup, or whatever alt creation you’re tinkering with. All bikes and all riders are welcome.
This is the first time this gathering is happening at Sea Otter and we want to hear from you what you would like it to be? What does the dream Bikepacking Campout at Sea Otter look like to you?
The event is hosted by Old Man Mountain with the support of many brands including, Sklar, Swift Industries, ABUS, Salsa, Feedback Sports, Outer Shell, and Priority Bicycles.
After Parties: Friday & Saturday, 5:00–9:30 PM
Friday and Saturday evening are the After Parties, starting at 5pm when the festival winds down for the day.
Bikepacking Films – Grab a seat and watch some seriously inspiring adventure cycling films. Think remote landscapes, wild routes, and the kind of stories that make you want to quit your job and ride somewhere far away.
Talks & Discussions – Real conversations with riders, route builders, and folks who’ve been doing this for a long time. Practical stuff, inspiring stuff, and plenty of time to ask the questions you actually want answered.
Show Bikes & Gear on Display – Drool over some incredible builds and check out the latest camping and bikepacking gear up close.
This is the kind of event where you can show up not knowing anyone and leave with a group chat full of people planning your next ride together.
“We wanted to create a space at Sea Otter that was just for the bikepacking community, somewhere to connect, and get stoked about riding,” said Erik Fenner, Old Man Mountain. “It’ll be casual, a lot of fun, and everyone’s invited.”

Cost: Camping Pass is $80 per person for the whole Bikepacking Campout. The After Parties are FREE!
