GRVL Apparel, creators of high-performance, sustainable gravel cycling apparel, today announces the launch of NYCHTHEMERON, a self-guided endurance gravel cycling challenge designed to test riders’ resilience, endurance, and self-reliance. The challenge invites riders to complete one of the carefully designed 12- or 24-hour gravel routes across the UK, Ireland, and even Italy.

Taking its name from the Ancient Greek term for ‘a full cycle of day and night’, NYCHTHEMERON encourages cyclists to push personal boundaries over demanding terrain, riding continuously for 12 or 24 hours. The challenge is self-supported, not a race, and open to riders of all abilities prepared to test themselves against time, terrain, and fatigue.
Riders can take on the challenge at any time, with the upcoming spring and summer months offering the best conditions.
Routes and Format
Riders can select from a range of GRVL and Ambassador designed routes spanning iconic cycling regions including the Chilterns, Cornwall, North Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Peak District, Yorkshire, South Wales, Kent, and more.
Each route is available in a 24-hour full-cycle format or a 12-hour condensed format, allowing riders to choose a level of challenge that suits them.
