“The Tailfin SpeedPack is the fastest pack in the world. It’s for those who pack light and prioritise speed.”

“The Tailfin SpeedPack is our 10+3 litre, rear-entry, stabilised saddle pack designed for riders who want to go fast, travel light, and carry smarter.”

“Engineered in collaboration with some of the fastest endurance cyclists on the planet, the SpeedPack distils years of race-winning R&D into a sleek, high-performance rear system designed for ultra-distance racing, minimalist bikepacking, and everything in between. Whether you’re chasing FKTs, setting out for a weekend overnighter, or simply need space for food and layers, and spontaneous pickups, the SpeedPack delivers rock-solid storage that never gets in your way.”
“We built this for the riders who don’t want to compromise between speed and storage,” said Nick Broadbent, Tailfin founder and Chief Engineer. “The SpeedPack is light, fast, and secure. It’s for the Lachlan Mortons, Svenja Betzs and Justinas Leveikas of the world, and anyone who’s pushing the limits of where a fast bike can take them.”

Not Just Another Seat Pack
Why It’s Different
The SpeedPack solves common pain points riders have with traditional seat packs:
- No velcro, no sway, no fiddling
- Simple, secure, and repeatable setup
- Lightweight but durable with 100% waterproof construction
- Designed to go fast, not just go far

“While it shares DNA with Tailfin’s CargoPack*, the SpeedPack is lighter and even more streamlined for minimalist riders looking to cut grams, not corners.”
“Unlike traditional seatpacks that sway, sag, or demand perfect packing, the SpeedPack’s integrated arch eliminates movement while keeping weight perfectly balanced. The rear-entry design allows riders to pack heavier items with ease and compress cargo tightly, ensuring every cubic inch of space is usable. Unlike our top-opening CargoPack, which has an enormous top opening and super easy access, this pack is for people who want to be able to stuff and cinch.”
*used to be called AeroPack – we are sunsetting this name to avoid customer confusion

Construction & Design Highlights
“The SpeedPack neatly integrates into the Tailfin rear system range and shares our usual attention to detail and highly specialised construction method.”

“We utilise the same 420D Hypalon and Diamond ripstop nylon construction as usual. With the more durable Hypalon in areas of potential high wear and the lighter, more flexible ripstop where it is best suited, such as the pack opening. You will also note that just as with all our other soft goods, we weld panels together; you won’t find any sewn seams here. This provides a completely waterproof construction, keeping your contents safe from whatever the weather throws at it.”

Increased Adjustability for an Even Better Fit
The SpeedPack is also the first Tailfin rear bag system to incorporate our FitLink seatpost connection system. This new version takes our simple and secure over-centre seatpost connector and adds heaps more adjustability, increasing the number of bikes and sizes it can fit and also allowing riders to really dial in the bag position to suit their needs. This new connector ships with three length options: 30, 60, and 90mm. It also offers nearly +/-50 degrees of user-adjustable vertical alignment to work in conjunction with your frame and seatpost.
The purpose of providing angle adjustment and three different lengths is to allow for:
- Front-to-back adjustment to eliminate thigh rub
- An intentional gap to reduce abrasion to the pack from the saddle or seatpost
- The provision of an intentional gap for bikes with dropper posts or for those with full suspension to allow for compression in the system.
It is particularly beneficial to riders with small frames and MTB riders.
Stiffness without Weight
“Another new feature we’re introducing with the SpeedPack is a change from the usual aluminium internal frame found on the standard CargoPacks to a lighter and more compact carbon version. The smaller load volume meant we could strip weight out of the frame and still offer our legendary stiffness without needing a full internal frame. Consisting of two custom carbon plates, this new frame offers a solid base to attach to our arches and seatpost connectors.”
“Of further interest is the ability to mount the rear arch connector in one of two positions on the frame, allowing for an even more dialled-in position. As a bonus, when fitted in the foremost position, you can easily fit an additional bottle cage behind the arch for more hydration or storage options.”

Feature Packed
“The SpeedPack appeals to riders who want to go fast and don’t like stopping. As such, we ensured the SpeedPack is endowed with the sorts of features that tick all the boxes for this type of rider.”
“Top of the list is the cavernous external wrap-around mesh pocket. Expanding the capacity of the SpeedPack by up to 3 litres, this addition is the perfect expandable storage – ideal for stashing and grabbing snacks, layers, or whatever you need on the road quickly. The pocket also features a secure draw-string cinch-and-lock system to ensure none of your precious cargo is lost along the way.”
“For racers and adventurous riders, this pocket is perfectly designed for stowing a GPS tracker in the ideal position for clear signal at all times.”
“Two accessory mounts at the rear of the SpeedPack allow for the mounting of lights, cargo or bottle cages, providing even more storage or hydration options.”
More Than a Bag
“This is more than a bag, it’s a system. The SpeedPack integrates with Tailfin’s existing rack ecosystem. It is fully backwards compatible with all of our existing arches, and just like the standard CargoPack versions, you can opt to run the SpeedPack as either integrated (attached to the Rack) or completely removable. Being able to choose from four Rack options gives riders the option to scale up their setup with panniers or add accessories without compromise. Whether you’re racing across a continent or rolling out for a local overnighter, this is the go-to choice for those who value performance and flexibility in equal measure.”
