Shand Cycles, the UK-based bicycle manufacturer renowned for rugged, adventure-ready steel bikes, announces the relaunch of the riotous Stramash gravel bike. It’s for riders looking to make something truly unique and who demand maximum versatility and all-terrain performance.
Stramash means ‘racket’ or ‘disturbance’ to the Scots, the perfect name for this unruly take on big-tyre, drop bar adventure. Blurring MTB and gravel, it’s handmade around a beautiful and versatile Columbus Life steel frame, with updated geometry and room for up to 50mm rubber.
Don’t miss the Stramash’s unmatched versatility. Designed and manufactured in-house by Shand, the updated drop-outs allow you to run UDH and T-type derailleur drivetrains, belt drive and Rohloff speed hubs. The multi-fit BB takes both threaded and eccentric bottom brackets. Factor in almost limitless paint options, four sizes and optional full-custom geo, and you’re set to make something truly one-of-a-kind.

Refined Geometry: Updated frame geometry enhances handling and comfort across long rides and technical terrain, making the Stramash more capable and confidence-inspiring than ever before.
Innovative In-House Dropouts: Newly developed stainless steel dropouts are manufactured by Shand in-house. They are the only dropouts available that are fully compatible with UDH derailleur drivetrains, belt drive systems and Rohloff Speedhubs.
Multi-Fit Bottom Bracket Shell: Utilising Shand’s precision in-house manufacturing process, Stramash frames now feature a versatile bottom bracket configuration that accepts both T47 threaded BBs and eccentric bottom brackets. allowing builders and riders to fit an eccentric for belt drive tensioning (ideal for Rohloff + Gates Carbon Drive setups) or traditional crank options.
True All-Road Capability: Designed for up to 50 mm tyres, the Stramash tackles gravel, singletrack and mixed surfaces with confidence and stability.
Handmade British Craftsmanship: As with all Shand Cycles frames, each Stramash is hand-fabricated, welded and finished in the UK with careful attention to strength, precision and longevity.
