August 31, September 1st and September 3rd marked the inaugural “Queen’s Stage Race”, part of Rebecca’s Private Idaho. A tough 3-day gravel stage race in the beautiful Sun Valley region of Idaho.

    Quite fun watching you blast down the descents! Lived briefly in a somewhat smaller Ketchum 30+ years ago — not much biking then, although there was the occasional sighting of a Hemingway descendant in a floppy hat. So, post race, any change in feelings about carbon vs titanium frames?

      I’ve ridden and raced carbon and titanium for some time now – still like Ti as the ultimate beat it up material, but a quality carbon frame does have its place. The Niner I was on isn’t like most other carbon frames out there. Their gravel frames are engineered to the same standards of strength as their carbon MTB frames.
